Shocking discovery! Hyperlinks often used!

British Telecom (BT) had filed a suit claiming a patent on hyperlinks, aiming to levy a tax on the use of hyperlinks. They lost the case. Holland's quality newspaper De Volkskrant reports about this and writes about hyperlinks: "A hyperlink is an often employed method to refer from one webpage to other webpages on the internet."
I guess that qualifies as the understatement of the century. Is there any other way to refer to other webpages than by hyperlink?

not to be a pedantic geek loser, but yep, there's a meta-refresh, not to mention SOAP calls, form POSTs/GETs, and I'm sure others. But it's still a great deadpan quote ;)

Comments and trackbacks have been closed on this site. My apologies.
Since MT-Blacklist inexplicably stopped working I had no other recourse than close comments and trackbacks to stop the spam. I've been meaning to correct this for quite a while, but life got in the way... in a good way I should add.
