Er... that's nice and all, and I can understand where you're coming from, but I make my living as a retailer.
Retail businesses traditionally make between 60% and 75% of their annual income from the winter holiday months.
The economy is bad enough as it is, with people buying less and less in uncertain times.
Keep in mind that retailers are real people too, and without customers buying, we have a hard time making mortgage payments or putting food on the table.
It's easy to scoff at retail now, during the months that we bust our behinds to make money and sales to you, our customers, but if we were out of business when you *did* want to buy whatever you're looking for, how would you feel then?
An opinion from "the other side."

Comments and trackbacks have been closed on this site. My apologies.
Since MT-Blacklist inexplicably stopped working I had no other recourse than close comments and trackbacks to stop the spam. I've been meaning to correct this for quite a while, but life got in the way... in a good way I should add.
